My name is Lamont Harringon and I’m currently a Public Sector Cloud Computing Specialist at Microsoft Corporation.  This is actually my second “tour of duty” with Microsoft.  During my previous tenure at Microsoft, I worked primarily as a Senior Solutions Architect with various teams within Microsoft.  I’ve worked around Microsoft products & technologies and have had a passion for technology for as long as I can remember.  Prior to rejoining Microsoft, I served as Chief Technology Officer at Synteractive Corporation located in Washington,DC where I was responsible for driving technology and solution architecture strategy across Synteractive’s services business, participating in the creation and delivery of Synteractive’s cloud computing vision and strategy, streamlining internal processes including refinining software engineering proceses, optimizing the use of internal technology resources and infrastructure, and driving technical skills improvement and new technical competencies across Synteractive technical staff.

I’ve had the opportunity to design, develop, and implement a variety of enterprise-scale on-premise and cloud-based applications for small and large scale projects for many Fortune 500, Fortune 100, and Fortune 50 companies spanning multiple industries as well as a variety of federal, state, and local government agencies and the DoD, including all branches of the US Military, DISA, nad Joint Commands.  Currently, I’ve been deeply involved in architecting cloud-based solutions and leading cloud computing intiatives around the Windows Azure and Amazon Web Services platforms as well as serving as a trusted advisor as it relates to cloud adoption amongst small, medium, and large organizations.

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity of working on, and delivering, very high profile projects within the Public Sector and Commercial industries and have a number of published case studies on Microsoft’s website.

Aside from technology, my love of God and family stands above all else.  I’ve been abundantly blessed and have achieved quite a few things within my career and I owe it all to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to the tireless support of my family.
